The I. J. Harvey House or the First Mayor's House was home to Isaac Julian Harvey, his wife Sarah, and their four children. Today, it is one of only ten that still exists from early Salinas, and it is the only one that operates as a museum to interpret the early history of Salinas. The House is run by a small nonprofit foundation.
